Diane Shaskin and Mark Craft are food and travel writers who have been immersed in the culinary scene of France for more than two decades, writing about the food, the wine, the people.
Six years of research, writing, dining, and photography have gone into Chasing Stars. Years spent visiting Michelin-starred restaurants in France, interviewing the chefs, eating the food they prepared for the couple, and going deep into the culinary culture of France.
Diane and Mark are the writers and creators of the top Paris online travel guide, Paris Insiders Guide, where travellers find everything they need to plan their next visit to the City of Light including what to do, what to see, and where to eat. Paris Insiders Guide is one of the top online guides to Paris with millions of annual page views and 120,000 unique monthly visits per month. (Source: SBI Traffic Statistics Report, December 2019.)
The pair also write about further culinary travel tales around La Riviere – the Mediterranean arc from Spain to France to Italy – on the website, Culinary Travel Tales.
Their previous book, How to Cook Bouillabaisse in 37 Easy Steps, was a Paris Gourmand International Cookbook award winner. It’s the story of their culinary adventures in Paris and Provence; a memoir of travelling, living and cooking in France’s two most treasured regions.
When they’re not in France they can be found on Vancouver Island, where they live with their son and reluctant traveler, Alexandre.
